We'd planned to meet a friend here, but they cried off.We came anyway and sat at a posing table in the front bar with our dogs.Many groups of walkers, and a full dining room.

A long established pub in walking country, rebuilt in traditional brick style in the 1930s following fire damage. Popular with walkers and cyclists. Named after a former Archbishop of Canterbury, allegedly born locally.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
