About twenty of us arrived on a socially distanced 53 seater coach. We had space in the pub reserved and had sent our beer orders through in advance from the previous pub. Very welcoming and enthusiastic landlady here and the aroma of an appetising curry emanating from the kitchen. We would have departed on schedule but the coach refused to start so we returned to pub for another pint. After about fifty minutes the coach driver got the engine to start and we moved on to the next pub.

Early afternoon our group were the only customers on this typical village pub. Friendly and well organised, beers ordered in advance hence we were all served nigh on arrival.

The pub is found in Ryhall, Rutland, PE9 4HJ.

The Green Dragon Inn, as it was previously known as, is built on the site of a 13th century Manor House and it still to this day features a 13th century vaulted cellar. The main building is Grade II Listed and was built in the 17th century which gives the Green Dragon pub a nice cosy feel with its low ceilings and nooks and crannies.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
