Late afternoon fairly quiet just a few folk inside and a few at the canal side seating area. Many bar stools available so opted for one of those. Friendly and welcoming with the knowledgeable bar staff rendering info on all of the many beers available. Soft background music and subdued lighting made for a relaxed enjoyable atmosphere.
| Brouwerij Frontaal - Juice Punch v.7 | 5.80 | | Notes of grapefruit orange and passion fruit with a tropical twist and flavours of coconut, pineapple, and stone fruit. |
| Brouwerij Walhalla - Njord | 5.00 | | A thirst quenching pale ale with a soft body from malted oats and a fresh hop aroma from the Ekuanot and Chinook varieties. |
| Brouwerij Walhalla - Double Elixer XII | 7.80 | | Peach, orange, guava, stone fruit and grapefruit for this complex full bodied fruity fare. |
| Othmar - Rauchbier | 6.20 | | Light bodied for its ABV with a sweet smoky peaty whisky flavour. |
| Poesiat & Kater - Mikkie Is Sticky | 10.00 | | Described as a caramel fudge stout however lacking the sticky sweetness I was expecting, more of a Belgian Dubbel trappist beer with the smoky acetic bitterness associated with such. |

Early evening and busy with the opposite of the norm, tables fully occupied yet plenty of perches free along the long bar so made myself comfy there. Well known for its stouts the barman made time to detail those on offer. It's 10% are you sure? Oh go on then 😬..
| Moersleutel - Rum Baba | 10.00 | | Thick dark indulgent decadence. Did exactly what it said on the tin. |
| Brouwerij Kees! - Anniversary 10 | 10.00 | | Bone dry with a slight hint of chocolate and coffee yet light as a feather for its ABV. Highly dangerous please avoid.. |

15:00 Just opened so just us four and two others. Enjoyed a snack of Dutch sausages and cheese. 28 beers on tap and an amazing list of bottled Dutch beers.
| Jopen - Extra Stout | 5.50 | | Full of flavour |
| De Molen - Op & Top | 4.50 | | Hoppy as the name suggests. |

Back in Amsterdam, this time with a couple of girls so couldn't get away with going into too many beer bars. Really busy but managed to squeeze in at the back. I like this place, it has a really traditional Dutch feel to it and the beer's fantastic.
| Bierbrouwerij Praght - Extra Stout | 8.00 | | Rich dark stout with lots of chocolate and coffee. Really was excellent. |
| De Proefbrouwerji - SNAB Maelstrom | 9.80 | | Sweet fruity beer, almost like a cross between a barley wine and a port. Really interesting and pretty good. |

We found all the locals to be a little standoffish, however, once they knew we liked our beer they seemed to loosen up. The selection of beer available is incredible! Had a great time chatting to everyone, staggering back to the hotel was a bit of a challenge!
| De Molen - Bloed, Zweet & Tranen | 8.20 | | A strong smoked stout. Very fruity with a lot of chocolate and roasted malt before the smokiness hits you. Really powerful beer. |
| De Molen - Amerikaans | 4.50 | | Exceedingly hoppy and incredibly fruity. Grapefruit seems to dominate, little caramel at the end. Really good beer. |
| De Proefbrouwerji - SNAB Pale Ale | 6.30 | | Citrussy, hoppy beer with a nice caramel flavour to it. Brewed by one of the locals, very nice. |
| Brouwerij De Leckere - Blauwe Bijl | 10.00 | | Belgian strong ale. Very sweet with a bit of liquorice and malt. Certainly doesn't taste it's strength. |
| De Proefbrouwerji - Jopen Extra Stout | 5.50 | | I had high hopes, but this wasn't too good. A little watery and thin in the mouth. Chocolate and roasted malt but too little. Just not enough going on for a stout. |
