Saturday night in Durham - sunny and heaving with mainly young people “on the town”. We noticed this place advertised down some steps between the Castle and the river. A few tables in what can best be described as a small car park next to a single-story large shed - that turned out to be the brewery. £3 a pint and plastic glasses, an enthusiastic owner. Different. One other own brewed beer on, a Porter.

Hill Island - Neptune’s Gold4.20GoodVery good body, tasty - but rather warm and in plastic - or would have justified a higher rating.
Hill Island - Hopportunity Fox3.40AcceptableRather warm and thin.
