Sunday evening - a few customers in the two downstairs rooms but due to COVID social distancing rules I was shown upstairs in solitary confinement to listen to the gentle hubbub of conversations going on below. I had a swift pint and a swift conversation with the landlord (who had met Butcher’s Arms Martyn for inspiration). I’ll be glad when COVID restrictions are finally over.

Near the railway station in North Street, in fact in the arches of the railway station. Along the lines of a micropub but with two rooms down and one upstairs. A mixture of handpump pf gravity dispense for real ales.
