20 Jul 2024 (Hogan Sampling)
Busy for a mid-Saturday afternoon visit and my first. Sat in pleasant rear yard. Greeted by two real ales.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Rooster's - Yankee4.30GoodVery refreshing taste after walk around the village was this Pale Ale and in good shape. Apparently one of the first Roosters brewed in 1993 with American hops which at the time was ground-breaking.
Adnams - Broadside4.70Not Tried

Wasn't intending to come here but walking past we noticed Dark Star Hophead and another beer I didn't recognise. After 10 seconds of trying to figure out where the door was, we went in. Perfectly pleasant pub, if a little lacking in atmosphere (but then it was 4pm on a Sunday afternoon).
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shivering Sands - Spring Tide3.80GoodA new beer for me. Clear, pale gold. Well served. Hoppy, and very similar to Dark Star hophead.
