Perfect timing for 16.00 opening we were the first customers soon joined by a flock of Chinese folk eager to try some real beer! Friendly welcome we chatted to the guv putting a few mutual wrongs right - as one does in a pub!!

A modern pub in the ground floor of a modern building in the town centre in Woodgate. The décor has a railway theme with reproduction posters and a board with photos of the Great Central Heritage Railway, which is not far away. Furniture is basic. Five handpumps dispense the wide range of cask ales which include gluten free brews. Regularly changing craft beers and real ciders are also available. Excellent disabled access. Dog friendly.
