Nearing the end of my ride to Penrith. Music and an outside bar attracted me in. Mini beer festival and barbecue on the go.

The pub is found in Carleton, Cumbria, CA11 8TP.

Just over the river from Brougham Castle outside Penrith. The river was the English/Scottish border before the Norman Conquest. Long roadside/corner house with a modern galleried extension at the rear and outside seating.

We have visited this pub once, seen 4 different beers and tried 2 of them.
