Strangely quiet for lunchtime on a bank holiday weekend: we were informed that the chef was indisposed.Having waited well over forty years to visit this pub, we enjoyed our beer in the front of the bar, before moving on.

Seventeenth century mellow red brick coaching inn in an historic west Norfolk village in Stocks Green. Airy front bar, after which the pub ambles past an impressive fireplace and chimney into an intriguing vaulted and beamed space.
