In town for a gig at the symphony hall and finally a chance to visit the wellington! Great pub with lots of people in having a post work pint or two.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fernandes - Jackdaw Mild5.00ExcellentGreat condition and a very tasty strong mild.

15:30 visit. Perfect stop-gap with 3½ hours between trains. Not been through hetre, or New Street for over 5 years, hardly recognised the re-vamped station. Sparse crowd in, a contrast to the rammed, post festival Saturday visits of days gone by. With 16 ales on, constantly turning over, this is still one of the best gbg's in Brum. Central.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Temperance Union - Vfm Softy1.00ExcellentBig City prices, but a Fentimans Ginger Beer will do me.
15 Jul 2015 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening's last pub brought me back now that I knew where the Barrel of Brum magazines were secreted.

In here at 11:10am to find a group of people I know already installed. Some were grumbling about the “late opening” – they had to wait until 10:03 for the doors to open! I did not note all the beers that were on.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Slater's - Western American IPA5.00ExcellentFull-on, dry, US-style Pale Ale. Served a little too cold for my liking (but it was a cold day).

The pub is found in Birmingham, West Midlands, B2 5SN.

City centre pub close to New Street and Snow Hill railway stations. Popular as it offers up to 16 beers on 17 handpumps on the downstairs bar counter, which can be asked for by handpump number and are all displayed on an overhead TV screen which lists abv, price and a beer colour code. There are also 3 cider handpumps on the back counter of the downstairs bar. In April 2013 underwent major building alterations to add a bar to the first floor. This upstairs facility has 7 more handpumps and there is a large function room and an outside terrace and an outside heated smoking "tent" upstairs too. The pub offers the opportunity to bring your own food and it will supply the crockery and cutlery.

We have visited this pub 45 times, seen 224 different beers and tried 77 of them.
