Dorking - Black Noise | 4.50 | Came with a good head and lacing on this classic London porter, as described by Dorking Brewery, and made up for the pale ale tasted just before. A very malty first hit with a dry bitterness in the mouthfeel. It seemed to have the merest hint of chocolate to my taste buds but not in a sweet way. It was indeed very moreish and helped by being brewed with East Kent Goldings' hops which I like in many of my beers and packed with eight different malts.
Dorking - Pilcrow Pale | 4.00 | Good head and lacing but not overly holding it of all the beers so far of the day. Lightly fruited with citrus and tropical flavours. This pale ale was not sweet to taste and came packed with Citra and Chinook hops from Yakima valley on the west coast of America. It had a moreish dryness lingering.
Dorking - Vestri Hazy Pale | 3.40 | Not Tried | A January special is this hazy pale using Motueka and Talus hops, and made with Norwegian Voss yeast. |

The pub is found in Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1BY.
This 15th century pub in West Street was more recently a former Courage pub that became a Young's pub, then a Punch pub before Dorking Brewery, located just outside the market town near the village of Capel, and with Ockley being the local railway station, took it over and opened it following a refurbishment in spring 2024.
We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
