Walked about 2 miles to get here for Sunday lunch. Well worth it. Very friendly staff and locals, excellent lunch and a good range of ales. Sympathetically extended but the old drovers inn still in evidence.

The pub is found in Upper Llanover, Monmouth, NP7 9NR.

Postal address is Abergavenny but quite a way from it in a hamlet called Upper Llanover. About 1.5 miles off the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal. Old drovers' inn with traditional bars, decked area out side and a garden across the quiet lane with spectacular views. Traditional pub food and occasional music. A real gem.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
