Dark Star - Hophead (was 3.8%) brewed by Fuller's | 3.40 | ![]() | Came with very good head and lacing and lasting on this Asahi UK-brewed beer from the old Fuller's Griffin Brewery in Chiswick, London. A fruit-infused first bite. A slightly sweet maltiness rising and competing with its dry hoppiness. A citrus-infused fruitiness pervading and a dry hoppy bitterness lingering. |

The pub is found in Petersfield, Hampshire, GU31 4AF.
On the old London to Portsmouth road at 46 College Street is this sizeable 16th century-old coaching inn known, no doubt by the locals, as 'the country pub in town'. Serving two cask ales on a visit in July 2025, the pub has a single split-level bar with ancient-looking wooden carvings set into the side of the bar and beamed ceilings. There is a separate restaurant seating area on your left as you enter and an imposing large open fireplace in the bar area. Live music on Fridays & Sundays and home-cooked dishes served every day.
We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried 1 of them.
