Early evening visit after sampling the Lock Inn. Got chatting to a local about computer systems in the 70s and 80s. Had a good veggie lasagne to get my calories in after a 60 mile cycle here. Friendly place - and my first pint this trip under a fiver! (£4.95)

The pub is found in Fort Augustus, Highland.

Adjacent to the locks leading to Loch Ness. Traditional bar in the stone built older building with a modern extension to the rear for dining. Only been a pub since about 2000 but a much older building converted.

We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried both.
