Lunchtime. Met up with a group of 4 retired cyclists. Bare boards, modernised Shep’s offering. Not busy but lots of rather idle staff. Bit worrying for the long term future of the place.

Isabel was at a birthday party at the village hall so I left her and Jane for 15 mins and came here. It wasn't open when I arrived so I sat out side on a bench until it did.

Isabel was at nursery and I was on holiday so why not have a half - push the boat out. The chap behind the bar was friendly and the pub was light and airy with lots of pine tables and things. There were only a couple of others in but then it was only 3.30pm. Jane and I sat in the garden.
