We came here on the recommendation of a Liverpudlian from work. Umm, maybe it was just the time of day we hit it but it was quite, well, edgy. Still, the back room was pleasant.

first visit here, lovely old fashioned boozer near the city centre, chatty locals, all of whom appeared to be short, strange. I felt quite at home! 60@s music playing, I could have stayed here all night.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Cains - Finest Bitter4.00Goodone of those beers which is really nice but with no outstanding features, average aroma some malt, a little hop no real finish but still a damn good pint, a good session beer.

Pretty quiet on a Wednesday evening to be honest, but it can be busy during the day. I liked the old fashioned feel of a proper unspoilt pub. Good place to come for a beer.

The pub is found in Liverpool, Merseyside, L1 1HW.

On Cases Street this pub enjoys a reputation for having a number of local characters. A narrow 2 room pub with the bar in the front room and more seating in the rear room. Look out for the interesting artefacts on the walls and the photos and prints. 6 handpumps on. Very handy for Liverpool Central railway station and shopping. Beware of the sloping floor.

We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 13 different beers and tried 4 of them.
