Evening visit, at last a pub open on my walk. Low footfall but had a good conversation with an old Scot.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Kent - Caramel Latte5.20GoodTasty brew at £3.80 (as all three ales were tonight here) very palatable
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - She Sells Sea Shells4.70AcceptableFrom a polypin, poured flat, no off flavours so OK
Tonbridge - Easy Street Pale3.90Not Tried
18 Jan 2020 (Philip Pirrip)
Mid evening and the place is closed for a private party. So onwards to The Dead Pigeon whose owner has insisted that this website does not permit reviews to be published for his venue - for the record it now sells only one handpumped cask ale there.

27 May 2019 (Philip Pirrip)
Mid evening visit. The seats in the window became free and made a respite from standing in the narrow area by the counter.
BeerABVScoreNotes
XT Brewing - No. 4 Session Amber3.80AcceptableFlat so a total chore to finish. Should I have guessed from the tilt on the cask and / or the £3pp price as being one on clearance sale
Dark Star - American Pale Ale (some has also been brewed by Fuller's)4.70Not Tried
Five Points - Railway Porter4.80Not Tried
22 Mar 2019 (Philip Pirrip)

26 Oct 2018 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit. Full of customers and noisy with some sort of quite unnecessary tinny amplified music playing. Beer selection made difficult by the only indication a beer is on being a small oblong blue "12 Degrees" tab on the appropriate stillage door blackboard.

22 Sep 2018 (Philip Pirrip)
Late evening visit until last orders was called. Only been open a week now and seemed busy but it is narrow and cramped. An odd feature are the two little quiet seating booths upstairs, one of which I mistook at first to be a wax model tableau much to the chagrin of the 2 inhabitants when I saw them move. Run by an enthusiastic real ale man and his family.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Isle of Purbeck - Fossil Fuel4.10Acceptable
Canterbury Ales (sometimes badged as Canterbrew) - Kentish Bitter3.70PoorNot seen before. Apparently a basic bitter usually intended for pubs to give a house beer name to. Broken yeasty head and I noted minor off flavours

The pub is found in Rochester, Kent, ME1 1DJ.

Micropub which opened on Saturday 15th September 2018 after many of life's hurdles suffered by the owner. The RAMS theme relates to his view that Real Ales Make Sense. Former shop premises in Rochester High Street, converted with a bar counter to the left hand side behind which are 7 "racks", chilled cabinets for the real ales and ciders / perries sold on gravity dispense. Furnished with an eclectic range of bench seats, tables, stools and chairs in a long narrow area. Toilets are upstairs as is 1 very small quirky quiet seating booth. Check the rack door blackboards for a small oblong blue "12 Degrees" tab to identify which beers are actually on sale at the time. No dogs or children are permitted here. Basement area for about 25-30 people added later downstairs.

We have visited this pub 9 times, seen 29 different beers and tried 12 of them.
