Tasting Summary
These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Stephen Harris | | 16 Sep 2015 | I think this is the first time I have seen this beer in cask-conditioned format. I thought it was a really good, balanced, US-style Pale Ale with a citrus edge. Unfortunately I failed to notice which part of my tongue was being tingled. |

HSB | | 08 Sep 2015 | Resinous American style pale ale. I noticed a phenomenon that came as some surprise to me. The hop taste from the Castle Rock beer was light and spritzy and hit the front and sides of my tongue whereas this beer hit the very back of the palate. My son experienced exactly the same difference. Supposedly the idea that different parts of the mouth taste different flavours is a myth but I would beg to differ. |
