These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

| Hogan Sampling | ![]() | 14 Feb 2026 | 2nd beer of this visit: Good head and lacing and sticking to the ending on this West Yorkshire pale ale from a micro-brewery based in Lockwood, Huddersfield, founded in 2008. A lightly fruited first hit on this pale named after a prominent New Zealand hop variety, and serving a dual-purpose in its aroma and bittering abilities and released in 2011 by the New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research. A hoppy bitterness winning over with hints of lime, pineapple and pine. A dry hop infusion pervading. An every so mildly fruity note joining in on the sailing out. Perfectly palatable but pales not often my favoured ales. |
