Early evening and pleasantly busy a few tables free. A hubbub of conversation with soft background music playing made for a relaxed and welcoming stay.

Busy early evening we sat at the end of the left side table by the window. The spacious distance between the longitudinal tables would make interaction difficult compared to the usual more cramped micropub layout.

Mid afternoon just getting dark, friendly welcome a couple of other chaps in drinking lager. A modern feel to the place with clever use of lighting and the beer menu displayed on a large flat screen TV behind the bar.

Why I don't like Bank Holidays. Had closed early at 8pm. At least, later, The Broken Drum and The Rusty Bucket kept to their Monday hours.

I was on a number 51 bus so it would have been rude not to break my journey here. This was my first visit to this very good pub, the landlord was very welcoming and enthusiastic. I was given tasters of a number of his products.

Evening visit until 10pm close although last orders must be placed by 9.30pm. The prominence of the fizz beer fonts on the bar counter unfortunately detracts from the real ale offering and at a minimum £1 pp premium. Like many new Micropub openings the sound was quite loud even with few in so soft furnishings, wall adornments plus sound baffles would be appreciated.

The pub is found in Sidcup, Greater London, DA15 9ER.
Yet another Micropub in the Bexley Council area, in a former carpet shop in The Oval. It opened on Wednesday 13th June 2018. bare wooden tiled floor with all seating at high tables with wall mounted benches or high stools. The L-shaped bar counters has 5 fizz beer fonts, real ale and cider/perry is served on gravity dispense from a rear cooled cellar room. Outside pavement seating for fairweather drinking. Beware last orders must be placed no later than 30 minutes before the advertised closing time.
