Hogan Sampling		04 Sep 2026	1st beer of this visit: Excellent head and lacing presented and lasting throughout on this locally brewed amber pale ale from Manor Road in Erith in the neighbouring borough of Bexley where brewing was set up in 2014. A mildly fruited first bite. A hoppy bitterness rising from its New World hop, Motueka, and the UK-grown Cascade hop introduced into British production in 2002 and originating from the US and a cross between English Fuggles and the Russian Serebrianka variety. Its English Crystal malts lending it a sweet biscuity and toffee-infused flavouring. A dry floral hoppiness and also a sharp fruitiness hitting my taste buds from its red berry-like flavours for me and mixed with a dash of lime, citrus peel and soft pine. A crisp bitterness sailing out. Served on good form with lasting conditioning.
