McGargle | | 29 Oct 2010 | Light golden ale with a thin white head. Initial citrus hoppiness from Washington hops leads to a dry finish. Although it feels more than its abv the malts selected add little to flavour and leave the beer a little unbalanced. |

Ian | | 08 Aug 2007 | Golden with lasting beige head. Good subtle hop aroma. Decent hop, actually very good throughout. Bit thin on malts, but definitely a strongish hop. |

Charles | | 07 Apr 2006 | Explosive hops. Like to think this may be the batch Martin helped John to make. Soooooo grapfruity. Fantastic. Once again I could still feel it the next day - felt all citrus fresh and grapefruity when I woke up. Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow - unbelievable - you're on the stage, tonight |
Charles | | 17 Mar 2006 | Martin said it was the first time in awhile he's had a pint he enjoyed as much as his own - he makes his own stuff with proper hops and grains and agrees with me that JM is very generous with the ingredients Martin wants to know how to transfer the small production techniques into large scale brewing - watch this space for New Zealands first real ale brewery. |
Charles | | 16 Mar 2006 | Still very good |
Charles | | 15 Mar 2006 | Only a good today as this isn't quite as good as before. It seems this is the third barrel in a row in space of a week or so. Unusual for BTW I think and may explain variability. No doubt best when it first goes on but loses something after a day or two. |
Charles | | 14 Mar 2006 | Not sure if this is still the same barrel as last Wednesday but it is still tasting good. Bursting with grapefruit hops. |
Charles | | 10 Mar 2006 | Still excellent but not quite as good as on Wednesday when it went on. |
Charles | | 08 Mar 2006 | Amazing flavour. Grapefruity and stays with you for ages. If I have it this good again, I'll have to give it an "exceptional". |
