Ian | 16 May 2006 | I had so enjoyed this at the Folkestone Wetherspoons that I wanted another half. However, this was a bit tasteless and dusty. Still had a bit of that fragrant hop aroma, but no where near as much as a couple of days before. But then, I guess that is the pleasure/frustration with cask beer, you just can never tell whether you are going to get something brilliant, average, dull or rubbish. |

Ian | 15 May 2006 | Amber colour, slight haze with creamy head. I was expecting a lager or cask conditioned lager, but this is neither although is was stuck through a chiller of some kind. Aromatic hop aroma, which is attractive, malty (even some choc) but wet in mouth, with more aromatic hop bite on finish. Some pear drop fruit. I like it. Clean, refreshing and excellent use of hops |
