Mid afternoon and quiet, we were the only customers upon arrival until a chap turned up halfway through our stay. Apologetic barmaid taking a telephone order meant a few minutes wait before being served.

Late lunchtime visit and still quite busy with diners – no room either in the nice-looking beer garden

Came for Sunday lunch with Jane, her mum and her brother. Nice place with good food.

There were a number of people eating and a number at the bar when we arrived. The landlord was pleasant and the food was good. It was a total contrast to the Market Inn as here the conversation around the bar was about old school ties.
