Late lunchtime visit and still quite busy with diners – no room either in the nice-looking beer garden

A proper, but well modernised back street local, and literally, amongst a terrace of houses. Very nice too.

Came for Sunday lunch with Jane, her mum and her brother. Nice place with good food.

There were a number of people eating and a number at the bar when we arrived. The landlord was pleasant and the food was good. It was a total contrast to the Market Inn as here the conversation around the bar was about old school ties.
