Cromarty - 80/- 4.20 A classic 80/- with dark, roasty malts. I enjoyed one but it's not a session beer.

Fyne - Nonsense 4.10 Described as. West Coast Bitter this was clearly British west coast. Drinkably bitter but loses a star for being hazy Black Isle - Red Kite 4.20 Not Tried

Warm fire and subsiding storm.
Fyne - Everyone loves Harlequin. 3.80 Contrary to the tasting notes this was a bit thin with none of the promised fruit flabours.

Sometimes I misjudge and thought the staff a little sullen but no they came iver with biscuits and water for the dog. 10/10.
Marble - Pint (was 3.9% then 3.4% for a while) 3.90 Ideal session ale. Crisp and refreshing.

Free house enjoying a fantastic harbour side location in Stonehaven's conservation area in Shorehead. 5 or 6 real ales, with an emphasis on Scottish micros. Excellent selection of bottled beers especially from Belgium plus interesting kegs which may be from Westmalle, Kwak or De Koninck. 2009 CAMRA Scottish Pub of the Year.
