Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Philip PirripUndrinkable12 Aug 2014 I was suspicious of the quick fill and shuffling. I had a wander and could see several Icebergs sitting below counter too. I challenged if this was a top up of some stale beer below deck and this was acknowledged. Replaced
Philip PirripExcellent12 Aug 2014 Fresh pint was excellent with lingering bitterness

AlenomoreGood28 Jun 2012 I expected a 5% ale to taste a lot better than this sample.

IanExcellent22 Mar 2007 Pale chestnut colour with lasting beige head. Bit of sickly malt on aroma, but mostly rich strawberry/raspberry and malt aroma. Full in mouth with more strawberry, morphs into creamy hop finish. Hop is balancing and shows some lemon acids to do battle with the rich malt. Rich and hoppy premium bitter and rather stunning.
