Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

IanAcceptable11 Nov 2008 Thought that I would try this again. Still only just vaguely more hoppy than an average UK golden bitter. Just expected so much more from a beer called a California Pale Ale.

AndrewNot Tried05 Nov 2008 After Ian pointed out that this wasn't infact a silly super hoppy beer I thought I'd give it a go but it went off as I ordered it. Oh well
AndrewNot Tried04 Nov 2008 Was tempted to have this as it's doing so well on JD's website but thought, nah, it's bound to be one of those silly ultra hoppy affairs that I dislike so much

IanAcceptable29 Oct 2008 Gold, copper colour, hoppy, but English hoppy aroma, not as big as I expected. Even slightly watery in mouth, bit of ginger hop spice on finish, bit dull really. Not the American Pale Ale, I was really anticipating and looking forward to.
