Ian		25 Nov 2008	Choc aroma, some fruit from the base beer. Better than at the Thomas Ingoldsby, better condition. I love the normal beer, and the ginger version was good too, but this doesn't work for me, the choc is too artificial.

Ian		22 Nov 2008	Had this in bottle in The Rake about 3 weeks agon and I wasn't impressed. This has a similar problem in that the artifical milk choc is too artificial. Better than in bottle as the base beer comes through more and is wider and has more depth than it's pasteurised counterpart. But it's still not very good. Medicinal aroma., bit of cherry fruit in middle. Hot alcohol on finish. Choc fades a bit as it goes down, but it's not good.

Dubbel		17 Nov 2008	Chocolate-coloured, chocolate-scented, chocolate-flavoured. Certainly does what it promises on the pump clip, though perhaps a little harsh for lunchtime and rather sickly sweet after a full pint.
