Steady stream of customers on a dreary January afternoon and many drinking the ales, all priced at £1.79 a pint! 😍

Evening after a long and most enjoyable Chalkwell bus ride from Gillingham through the villages of Upchurch and Newington. Very busy here - guess the pub has trumped most of the other pubs in Sittingbourne for beer range and value.

1130 visit. "Ticked" this one in 2002. We returned today and nothing changes in this little town.

The pub is found in Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 4AY.
A large, ex department store type conversion. No natural light away from the main entrance, but a good atmosphere and usual Wetherspoon attributes. Curved bar counter is located at the very back of the pub and in front of it is spartanly furnished wooden floored area. Has High Street (eastern end) frontage with a side entrance in a rather dingy former shopping arcade. Slightly raised seated area in one corner. Dartboard. 6 handpumps. Closed by Wetherspoon in February 2016 as part of its divestment programme of "surplus" houses probably prompted by the fairly recent opening of its 2nd pub in the town which remains open.
We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 19 different beers and tried 9 of them.
