Early evening visit. Just the one ale on at 4.50 a pint and a chainsaw being wielded in the back garden. I sat out the front and and listened to the traffic instead. Underwhelmed.

A bus load of thirty seven of us arrived for beers plus our bus driver and conductor for teas. The pub coped very well but did start to run short of pint glasses. Beer choice as already listed by others.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Black Sheep - Best Bitter3.80ExcellentA nice tasty low gravity ale to start the day.

Late morning we surprised a few locals when our vintage bus turned up and unloaded twenty something thirsty passengers, friendly welcome the bar staff did their best to satisfy such thirsts for the hour we spent there.

Afternoon about an hour before 3pm closing, diners were busy sorting out their bills when I arrived and just one chap finishing his pint when I left to catch the 3pm bus to Tenterden. I like this pub and wish that the bus frequency had not been reduced to approximately one every two hours.
