Just after what must have been a busy lunchtime with an army of staff on table clearing duties. Now more quiet and relaxed I opted for the cosy left side lower bar with its comfy perch seats and high tables.

Lunchtime, quiet on arrival however a fair few folk dining arrived not long after us. Screened off one way system and table service in operation. Soft background music and comfortable furnishings made for a pleasant relaxed atmosphere.

Lunchtime visit on a Thursday, unlike most of the other customers we sat inside and had the front bar to ourselves. Busy with diners but without exception they all chose to sit outside. Covid-19 precautions being taken seriously here so we stayed for a second pint.

Afternoon visit and quite busy with wet trade. I quite like this pub.

Sunday morning and already a few in, this was my first visit since the recent refurbishment. Sheps appear to have done quite a good job.

After a disappointing meal in the White Lion across the road I came in here to see what I could have had, and I think we would have been better off in here even though the staff were rushed off their feet.
