Two visits, either side of a good Xmas lunch at the New Inn for our cycling group. Opened up at 11:55 thankfully taking pity on desperate faces jaunt off the train. Made very welcome. All beers in top condition.

Swift one mid lunchtime- the pub was heaving but my fellow cyclist and I got a friendly welcome. We supped quickly as we watched dark clouds gather.

Post cycle meet pint. Kev the Pickle recognised by one of my Dover chums. Reminiscences all round. One other Wantsum brew on as well as those listed.

Dry day for a cycle so I came here. Good conversation with some Thanet folk - they asked if my bike was electric, “of course not, I’m only 70 you know” I replied.

Two visits today, either side of Xmas meal over the road at the New Inn.
First at noon and second about 3 - it either wasn't very busy today or we missed the rush.
There’s was a single hop “Galaxy” at 4.1 ABV., but it was undrinkable. Pint refused and a new ale put on with good grace.

Heaving Sunday lunchtime session. Loads of free nibbles on offer. Ales at £4, soft drink just £3 (£2.60 cheaper than over the road). Really like this micro, apart from the exclusively Wantsum ale menu. Strata One Hop IPA at 4.2 was in fine condition but rather lacking in body.

The pub is found in Minster (Thanet), Kent, CT12 4AB.
Micropub in the High Street - a conversion from a hairdresser's shop, Ian Barrie Hair Stylists. Opened for business on Friday 6th December 2013. Initial opening hours are Mon-Sat 12-3 & 5-9; Sun 12-3. Real ales, ciders and wines are on offer served from an airtight cooled room behind the small bar counter. The room has room for 4 or 5 casks of real ale and some cider boxes on gravity stillage. Brightly decorated pub with lots of reclaimed scrap wood for high and low tables and wall coverings. Unisex toilet through an arch to the side. Beware of limited rail and bus timetables after an evening session.
