Sat at the bar talking to a bloke down from London, whose birthday it was and also had a Sambuca shot as they were only £1.

After hearing on the site about the double stout I really wanted to come and see for myself. This is a good pub, light and airy, a great place to sit and people watch. Prices are a bit steep but then it is a Shepherd Neame.

Again I had 5 mins before the train from Canterbury West, and I wanted to try the Double Stout again.

I had 5 mins before my train went so I popped in here quickly to see if the Amber or Early Bird were on and was delighted to find the Double Stout.

Very burnt and roast with some body but the burnt malt dominates just a touch too much. But still really good and I sank a pint inn 5 mins no problem. |

Used this place as a meeting point before heading into town. Only a couple of people in which seemed strange for a friday night. Nice place though even if my beer was more than £3.
