Visits Details

16 Nov 2024 (Hogan Sampling)
Busy when I got here mid-evening but prompt service. Full on the ground floor (seating also upstairs) but squeezed in and was seated next to a local real ale brewer no less and from Orbit Brewery, just off the Walworth Road. He explained they are having a tap-takeover at The Shirker's on 21st November and hope to have their London Porter real ale ready for this.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Evening visit, my first here. Impressed by the friendliness of all customers and staff and owners. Clearly cask fans and modern keg too. Should be a honeypot when the students return for autumn term in Goldsmiths opposite.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Anspach & Hobday - The Shirker's Best (re-badged The Ordinary Bitter) (was 3.7%)3.40GoodRe-badged The Ordinary Bitter. Better example of this than I recall having elsewhere. Mid brown basic English bitter
Brockley - We Are Lewisham Golden Ale4.50GoodUsually no lover of Brockley beer this had good tastes, someone said a new brewer has taken over
