12:00 Monthly old railwaymen's get together. Beer as good as usual. Sadly the cook had gone so there was no food. After 90 minutes our party split between those who wanted to drink and those in search of food.

19:00 visit. Great to see this old place again, and still a top real pub, with no less than six more winners found from the 14 ales on! After todays mammouth session, the bus back to Piccadilly was a welcome sight! And it was a lot easier to add these postings at home, sober, in my spare time, than trying to decipher the stuff in my notebook on Monday morning after this lot! My three local compatriots looked after me admirably too. Cheers. Current 2013 gbg entry and 24 times previous in; 1976-83/8/95-2000/2-6/9-12
