We arrived 20 minutes early for our 15.00 booking and escorted to our table on the sun trap terrace on a gloriously sunny day enjoying the views over Pegwell Bay, a late F&C lunch washed down with some good beer. Thankfully the experience soon dissipated my disappointment of Doom Bar not being available!

Lunchtime visit and mainly food trade at this time of day. It was a bright sunny day, albeit a bit on the cold side, but a fair number of people were sitting on the balcony enjoying the superb sea views.

Came here after unsuccessfully getting food at the belle vue. Very busy here but just managed to grab a table. Food was really good and the atmosphere was quite warm and welcoming, I do like this pub. It was also the very first pub I bought a pint in so it has that nostalgia factor.

The first pub I ever visited back as a bright eyed 16 year old. Been 9 years since I was last here and it's changed somewhat and probably for the better. Loads of customers in watching the football, not my cup of tea but nice to see the place busy. Sat outside and supped our pints whilst looking over pegwell bay, lovely.

It was raining and we needed to take Isabel out so she could jump in puddles. Jane spotted this pub in the Good Beer Guide so here we came. When we arrived it was empty but within half an hour it began to fill up with diners. We sat in the corner by a window so Isabel could look at the sea and periodically shout, "Sea!". The staff were friendly and the food good.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Dr Sunshine's Special Friendly English Wheat Ale4.20ExcellentGood condition. Nice citrusfarm-yard aroma. Good sharp bite with nettley hops. I'm not a fan of wheat beers as a rule but this was excellent
