GREAT atmosphere just the right number, pleasant without being too busy and music not too instrusive. Tasting notes will be minimal due to not having a pen, sorry
BeerABVScoreNotes
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Jaipur5.90ExcellentLovely.
Black Hole - Supernova4.80ExcellentLight, floral beer wheaty, a bit lagery but nice, a lovely drink
Quartz - Extra Blonde4.40ExcellentExtremely wheaty, lovely beer, continental in taste
Black Hole - Apollo3.60GoodReally nice light and hoppy a hint of citrus
Tap House - Ashby Pride3.80GoodNew Brewpub, of the Ingleby John Thomson stable, nice, floral session ale with subtle citrus flavours
Tryst - Zetland Wheatbier4.50AcceptableHigh hopes for this but unexceptional in every wat; advertised as cloudy but as clear as a bell.
Marston's - Pedro6.00PoorSpecial 40th anniv. CAMRA beer. Sadly a bit light and insispid. Peddyish but no overt flavour and a bit flat, very dark beer
Heritage (formerly William Worthington Brewery) - CAMRA 40th anniversary ale4.50PoorHardly a catchy name. Red/Spring shield by another name, sad lack of variety shown here by the Head Brewer

Main event, the Beer Festival at Burton Town Hall. Great venue, food and entertainment, numbers seemed a little down this year. Emphasis on local breweries and Celtic connections due to it being St Patrick's Day.
