| Mad Squirrel (formerly Red Squirrel) - London Porter | 5.00 | ![]() | The first time I’ve tried this classic Porter since Red Squirrel’s relocation. Still excellent! Dark brown, with a full-bodied chocolate malt and roast barley taste. A bit of liquorice. Hoppy finish. |
| Mad Squirrel (formerly Red Squirrel) - English IPA | 5.00 | ![]() | A golden-coloured. A strong, smooth malt character with a really good, pronounced, English Goldings hop hit. |
| London Fields - Session Ale | 4.00 | ![]() | A fresh barrel that could have done with a bit more conditioning. Pale, with a fragrant hop aroma. |
| Mad Squirrel (formerly Red Squirrel) - Red Dawn Mild | 3.70 | ![]() | A very deep ruby-red coloured, malty mild, with a fruity, nutty character. |

The pub is found in Newington Green, Central London, N1 4QU.
Archetypal, bashed-around, suburban boozer. Once rather run-down; a lick of paint, some comfy furniture and a candlelit ambience has transformed the Alma into a popular place to eat and drink. A single, large room, with lots of nooks and crannies, plus a rear garden.
We have visited this pub once, seen 12 different beers and tried 4 of them.
