Much more pleasant than our last visit we both agreed. Ian got some Elgood's fruit lambic monstrosity so he was chuffed.

17:50 Fairly quiet. Bit of a barn without lots of people. After we were served a chap ordered a pint of Trawlerboys but the barmaid struggled to pull one and turned the clip round. Before we left the clip was back facing front. I asked her why and she said that there had been a problem with the beer fobbing. Problem with the gas I asked. Yes came the reply. Not a problem I usually associate with cask beer.

13:10 Third port of call. Very quiet. Asked the barman to compliment the Redwall brewery on producing a cask beer.

Largish pub just off the inner ring road. Plenty of exposed wood and beige walls. Long wooden bar, 15 handpumps with 2 lots of the Elgoods beers. Not overly busy mid Thurs afternoon.

Virtually empty when we got in with only 1 other person. Big place though so with no one in it felt a bit odd.
