Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

IanGood26 Aug 2006 Chestnut with thin beige head. Choc aroma and flavours, sweetish dry malts, in fact a very malty flavour. Rich fruit flavours, some dryness on end. Not a massive hop presence, some spice on end. Dry choc malt is excellent.

Elgood's Greyhound

5.20% ABV.

A strong bitter with a rich brown colour. The full flavour is derived from the Pale Ale Malt, Torrified Wheat, Invert Sugar and Roast Barley. The hop blend is from English Fuggles and Challenger. The raisin character is a result of the fermentaion of the dark sugars from the Invert sugar and Roast Barley..

We have tried this beer 8 times.

We have given this beer an average score of Good to Excellent.
