The ever-popular Mighty Oak Christmas beers night at LOSC. By the time I arrive some beers are already on their second cask. Time was when the club would be decked out like Santaís Grotto for this event; decoration much more restrained these days. Other beers as listed by ChrisE.
Mighty Oak - Whistling Wheelbarrow4.50ExcellentA tasty Porter with coffee and chocolate flavours.
Mighty Oak - Purple Reindeer4.00ExcellentAn excellent, fruity, ruby-coloured Bitter.
Mighty Oak - Little Cracker3.60GoodA decent Brown Ale with some citrusy hop.
Mighty Oak - Yellow Snow3.80AcceptableA rather routine Golden Ale.

We managed to get slightly early doors just before the official 5pm opening which was just as well as this place soon became very busy indeed. Any fears that holding their annual Mighty Oak Brewery night on a Thursday instead of Friday might put people off were completely unfounded. Excellent service at the bar and a selection of very good filled rolls were available at £1.60 each, mince pies were gratis.
Mighty Oak - Oscar Wilde Mild3.70ExcellentOn gravity dispense here tonight. A good dark Mild Ale.
Mighty Oak - Yellow Snow3.80ExcellentThe name did not put us off drinking this golden refreshing ale.
