Ah - the long, thin Fox. Late lunchtime - day 4 of my long cycle - 20 miles to Dorchester- would be rude not to stop and cool
off. Garden fullish but I sat in the small front room in the cool. Nice.

Back for lunch today after visiting the castle and taking a 4 mile walk. Sat in the garden - that is extremely long and peaceful. Good fish and chips. The local beer was sublime. Other 2 beers same as yesterday.

It may have been the walk beforehand and the clean palate at noon but this was superb. Real depth of flavour and body for a 3.8 ale.

Early evening - 3 bar flies in. Nice feel - unimproved over the last 30 plus years I would guess - although the prices have kept up to date - £4.50 a pint.

No one in except the landlady and her staff. All the beers were on gravity behind the bar. Good pub.

Rich gold colour. Apply. Drinkable but probably on the turn
The pub is found in Corfe Castle, Dorset, BH20 5HD.
Long thin pub in West Street, split descending to the rear via 3 levels, the bar taking up most of the middle level. Look out for the well in the middle of the floor in the bottom level. Re-opened in 2018 after three years of closure.
We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 7 different beers and tried 3 of them.
