Back for lunch today after visiting the castle and taking a 4 mile walk. Sat in the garden - that is extremely long and peaceful. Good fish and chips. The local beer was sublime. Other 2 beers same as yesterday.
Hattie Brown's - Moonlite3.80ExceptionalIt may have been the walk beforehand and the clean palate at noon but this was superb. Real depth of flavour and body for a 3.8 ale.

Early evening - 3 bar flies in. Nice feel - unimproved over the last 30 plus years I would guess - although the prices have kept up to date - £4.50 a pint.
Exmoor - Fox4.20ExcellentCrisp and fruity - like an autumn apple straight from the tree (but not as appley)
Butcombe - Rare Breed (or Adam Henson's Rare Breed)3.80Not Tried
