Late afternoon and quiet. I sat in the Tap Room at the back (which is very nice) to console myself for arriving too late in the afternoon to visit Mighty Oak Brewery’s new Tap Room just around the corner. There may have been additional beers available.

11:30 Four others in. Sat in both bars, settling on the Oak Room as the best. Lovely place for a drink as long as you don't mind stuffed animals and the skin of a very large snake.

A very unique sort of hotel. The bar is one side of the entrance to the courtyard and the kitchen, reception and restaurant the other side. All real ales gravity fed and an extensive food menu. Rooms also available. Has a beer festival from 17 - 20 June with a very interesting list.
