Significantly expanded since our last visit. Friendly staff who like dogs. Offered Golden Fleece Golden Hop but didn't know the brewer.

Busy. Lots of people enjoying the food; especially the home made pizza.
Warwickshire Beer Co. (Bakehouse) - Duck Soup 4.20 Dark chestnut with tight creamy head. Not a lot on the nose and predominantly malty/fruity in the mouth this drank as a good stronger mild. Cains - IPA 3.50 Not Tried Purple Moose - Madog's Ale 3.70 Not Tried

Conwy (Bragdy Conwy) - Scrum Down 4.00 Well balanced, fruity golden ale. Burton Bridge - By George 4.30 Slightly floral bitter with unusual 'catch' in the finish. Springhead - Robin Hood 4.00 Not Tried

Friendly but quiet. Owner is celebrating 10 years in charge and has dropped beer prices to £2.50 this week.
Northern (see also Blakemere) - Blakemere Gold 4.30 Undemanding golden ale. Easy enough to drink but nothing of note from either hops or malt. Purple Moose - Glaslyn Ale 4.20 Not Tried Hydes - Owd Oak 3.50 Not Tried Do hope this not the same cask.

Dog friendly in the courtyard and tonight in the atmospheric Snug. Acoustic music in the Lounge.

Large group of rugby fans clustered round fire and bar.

Another friendly pub with new chef since the last visit. Regulars say that the food is now excellent.

Very friendly service. Three ales available but details of two lost.
Purple Moose - Snowdonia Ale (Cwrw Eryri) 3.60 Refreshing but, perhaps, slightly tired.
