I enjoyed a good fish and chips lunch here in the mid-afternoon when the pub was fairly quiet.

10:30 Breakfast stop at the start of a Cambridge crawl. Very busy with fellow diners. Poor beer choice as the bank of five guest ale pumps were all having their lines cleaned.

Nasty. Not a beer I had had before, stale and cardboardy. I suspect first pint out and not pulled through.

The pub is found in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, CB2 3AR.
This Wetherspoon pub was purpose-built as the Regal cinema, in 1937. It was then the most up-to-date cinema in Cambridge, a veritable palace - as it was dubbed by cinema-goers of the 1930s. Until recently, the pub in St Andrews Street had been in use as the ABC cinema.
We have visited this pub 9 times, seen 42 different beers and tried 10 of them.
