The pub is found in Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire, HU1 1PS.
Established in 1729 this is the oldest pub in Hull still trading – a very detailed history of the premises appears on the pub website. It stands on the High Street, once the main thoroughfare, but now something of a backwater just off the town centre. Has separate front and back rooms and features on CAMRA’s listing of historically authentic pub interiors.
We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 15 different beers and tried 4 of them.
