Friendly and welcoming village local, a few in mid afternoon with more appearing during my stay. Sadly the Bell Inn opposite is currently closed due to ill health of the current landlord.
| Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | | Served far too cold otherwise ok. |

Quiet, lunchtime, pleasant atmosphere.

| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | | Insipid |

Cycle meet. We have changed our allegiance from the Bell since the landlady was forced out by a rent hike. Ironically the Bell (open again with a temporary manager) is now allegedly trading at a nominal £1 a week rent!
A few other customers in and very friendly. The beer choice is rather disappointing however.
| Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | Fresh on and in fine form. |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | | Only ale on to start with. |

Very pleasant welcome, busy with diners that used to eat at the Bell, the pub opposite, now closed
| Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | | Malty quite fresh |

Late lunchtime. I had a swift half to check this out, I was the only customer unlike the Bell opposite. This has only reopened about 3 months ago apparently after a long period of closure. It is bigger and barer than the Bell, far less cosy. The same tennants have both pubs - but the barman told me that they were “different breweries” - I guess he meant management companies (seems odd, perhaps Mr P can check it out) - both with a full beer tie so no Wantsum ales unfortunately. Smart new sign with wrought ironwork surround - I’ve sent a pic to Andrew.
| Eagle (formerly Wells & Young's, formerly Charles Wells, formerly Wells) - Bombardier (was Bombardier Glorious English) (use Eagle entry now please) | 4.10 | | The only ale on - they have had to drop for, 3 to 1 because of wastage. |
23 Oct 2017 (Dosser)
4 ales on pre Wantsum brewery visit
| Titanic - Plum Porter | 4.90 | | |
11 Aug 2013 (John B)
Pub now under new management but appears temporary as there is a new to let sign up
| Black Sheep - Special Ale (previously Ale) | 4.40 | | |
| Robinsons - Dizzy Blonde Amarillo Pale Ale | 3.80 | | |
| Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried | Ran out |
24 Aug 2012 (Blair)
Decided to check out the beer festival that was advertised in the paper, were slightly disappointed to find only 4 beers on when we arrived! Still the place had a good atmosphere and the beers they had on were all good.
| Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Red Top | 3.80 | | Perfect condition, a fantastic bitter. |
| Tring - Fanny Ebbs Summer Ale | 3.90 | | Too sweet for me but in good condition. |
| Hopdaemon - Incubus | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
| Westerham - Spirit of Kent XXX Pale Ale | 4.00 | Not Tried | |

A mate and I were on a 30 mile tour of Thanet so we had to stop in a new pub for a pint en route, this was the chosen resting point. Sat out in the garden on the deck chairs and soaked up the rays. I really liked this pub, nice relaxed atmosphere and a friendly barman.
| Okell's - IPA (or Dr Okell's IPA) | 4.50 | | Light, citrussy and a little malty. Very easy to drink on a hot day such as this. |
| Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 5 | 4.40 | Not Tried | |
29 Dec 2007 (Andrew)
Visited at lunchtime just after visiting the Bell opposite. We were the only customers in. Pleasant enough.
| Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | | Had the flavour of watery apples. |
