It's fight err folk week in Broadstairs and the pubs are full on a sunny Tuesday afternoon. Great selection of ales see us choose the pub for our afternoon tipple. Pity about the plastic
Iron Pier - Cast Iron Stout | 4.70 | | Fine stout. Pity about the plastic glass! |
27 Jul 2019 (Dosser)
Second visit here and very impressed with beer and how this place has been done up. Good crowd in. 3 ales and lots of key keg on. Came back for second visit later as the selection of beer here was better than Magnet, 39 steps and Chapel...and cheaper at £3.20 a pint.
Iron Pier - Porter | 5.30 | | In superb nick |
27 Mar 2019 (Dosser)
Big crowd in a small pub. My first visit. 3 beers on, one changed during visit.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Common Conspiracy | 4.80 | | Similar to the Gaps pint |
29 Dec 2018 (Andrew)
Umm. Didn't feel like there was a huge amount or variety of seating.
Potton - Deep Dark Woods | 5.20 | | Black. Tart. Not my cup of tea. |
Romney Marsh - Marsh Mellow | 3.60 | Not Tried
Northdown - He-Bru | 4.80 | Not Tried
04 Nov 2018 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until late, my colleague's and my first visit but there again it only opened yesterday. Upon entering initially blinded by the brightly lit bar back but that soon settled down. Very enthusiastic and friendly young owners. I think they admit it is still a bit of a work in progress with a need for noise baffling with lots of empty wall and cupboard space still. The vinyl disks played on the record player were not intrusive. The place engendered continuous conversation.
Boutilliers - Swim Until You Can't (KeyKeg) | 5.40 | | Tasty saison with peppery overtones but I was belching within one swig, as overcarbonated |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Seasider | 4.30 | | A bit of a hoppy zing |
Time and Tide - All in Jim | 5.40 | | On KeyKeg, OK but little if any head and overcarbonated as is KeyKeg's wont |
Northdown - He-Bru | 4.80 | | Very citrus but flat as a pancake with little if any condition making it a chore |
Wantsum - Black Prince | 3.90 | Not Tried
